How to Go
Tanjung Gemok is another jumping board from where you can get on a ferry to Tioman. Tanjung Gemok is located between Endau and Rompin, about 30 minutes north Mersing.
 
Tanjung Gemok Ferry Terminal built in 1994, the terminal has a total area of 25 acres. Facilities include seven ticketing and baggage counters, an information centre, a customs office, a fisheries department office, a marine department office, restaurants as well as a fenced car park for about 100 vehicles. Visitors can find many affordable resorts and chalets around the village. There are also nearby Orang Asli village to visit.
 

Kuala Lumpur > Tanjung Gemok

Tanjung Gemok is the nearest jetty, if you are starting your journey from Kuala Lumpur.

Route 1

 Kuala Lumpur (East Coast Highway E8) – Kuantan – Pekan – Rompin – Tanjung Gemok Jetty

Route 2

 Kuala Lumpur (Plus Highway E244) – Tangkak – Yong Peng – Ayer Hitam – Kluang – Mersing- Tanjung Gemok Jetty

Route 3

 Kuala Lumpur (Plus Highway E2) – Seremban – Bahau – Muadzam Shah – Rompin – Tanjung Gemok Jetty
Estimated travel time from Kuala Lumpur to Tanjung Gemok Jetty is 4.5 hours.
 

Johor Bahru/Singapore > Tanjung Gemok

If you're driving from Singapore/Johor Bahru, just keep going at Mersing for a little while longer until you see Tanjung Gemok. The drive from Singapore/Johor Bahru to Tanjung Gemok is generally slightly longer than to Mersing. But the upside is that the ferry crossing from Tanjung Gemok is genrally shoter.
